Alexis Ajinça (born May 6, 1988 in Saint-Étienne, France) is a French professional basketball player with the Toronto Raptors of the NBA. The 7 ft 2 in (2.18 m), 248 lb (112 kg; 17.7 st) center was selected with the 20th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Bobcats.
On October 29, 2009, the Bobcats exercised their third-year team option on Ajinça, thus keeping him under contract through 2010-11 season.
On November 30, 2009, the Charlotte Bobcats assigned Ajinça to the Maine Red Claws, the NBA Developmental League affiliate. He was recalled on February 2, 2010.
On July 13, 2010, Ajinça was traded to the Dallas Mavericks along with Tyson Chandler for Erick Dampier, Matt Carroll, Eduardo Najera, and cash consideration. On December 27 of 2010, Ajinca made his first three-pointer.
The Mavericks traded him to the Toronto Raptors on January 24th, 2011.
Ajinça has played internationally for the French national basketball team.
